What kind of guitar amp should I buy?
That really depends on your situation. Most professional (not all) prefer the sound of a tube amp, in a head/cabinet configuration. However, this type of set up can be quite expensive, which is why combo amps are so popular.
What are some common effect pedals for a guitar player to own?
Distortion, wah-wah, and chorus pedals are usually the most commonly used. However, there are a number of other popular pedals, including phasers, delays/echoes, and loop pedals.
Do I have to take guitar lessons?
While it is certainly possible to teach yourself how to play guitar, most people agree that the process goes much faster with lessons. They are also a great way to learn “proper” techniques.
